Thomas W. Jones

 

Thomas Wetteland Jones has extensive experience as a choral conductor, composer, and educator.

He has been the conductor of the Huntington Men’s Chorus since 1999 and he is presently conductor of the Mineola Choral Society.

 

After graduating from Amherst College, Mr. Jones studied composition and conducting and received a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. He studied conducting with the late Margaret Hillis and Helmuth Rilling. His compositions have been performed in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Huntington.

His work as a professional conductor includes serving as Assistant Conductor of the New York Choral Society and the New York Choral Society Chamber Singers.

Prior to his retirement, Tom served as the Director of Music for the Three Village School District.
